1,880 Unique Visitors, Nothing to See
Apr 24, 2026 · ~ 2 min read
Nearly 2,000 visitors, 61k requests, 463MB served — to an empty site. The dead internet theory must be true.

According to Cloudflare, 1,880 unique visitors have been to this site. There is nothing here. There has been nothing here for months. Sixty-one thousand requests. Four hundred and sixty-three megabytes served. To what, exactly, I genuinely couldn’t tell you.
Either bots are indexing a void, or real people found this, looked at a blank page, and left without comment. I’m not sure which is sadder. Dead internet theory suggests most web traffic is automated at this point, fake engagement, crawler noise, the digital equivalent of a tumbleweed that somehow shows up in your analytics as a conversion. Looking at my dashboard, I’m starting to think they’re onto something.
So. First post. Written primarily for the bots, if we’re being honest. Here’s the actual situation: I’m a developer, frontend mostly, some full-stack, AI tooling increasingly, and I’ve been meaning to build this out for a while. Not a polished “here’s my ten-step framework” blog. More of a running log. I learned to code during COVID, the long way, right before AI made the whole process feel optional. I’ve built things, dropped things, worked in tech and outside it. My partner and I run a small studio. We’re building things we actually care about, which mostly means we’re not sleeping enough. The plan is to write about what I’m actually doing, like AI workflows that work, ones that don’t, building in public without the performative nonsense that usually comes with it. I’ll be honest about what’s useful and what’s hype, which, in the current AI content landscape, feels almost radical.
Anyway. Welcome. Sorry there’s nothing here yet. Sixty-one thousand requests’ worth of nothing, apparently.
